Christian Aid Week
Today we have a retiring collection for Christian Aid at the end of this fundraising week. We raised over £150 at the coffee morning last week, added to the £600 raised at Lent lunches. Please gift aid, using the envelopes, if you can and we’ll add the collection to our grand total.
Pentecost
Next Sunday is Pentecost, the celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is something of a birthday for the Church throughout the world, and so we are celebrating with an All Age Parish Eucharist. In the afternoon there is a Pets Blessing Service at St Mary’s Tower at 3pm. Please come along, and bring your friends.

Look out for the Data Sheets in the pews. We want to update our database to make sure all the contact details we have for the congregation are accurate.
Exploring Faith
On Wednesday we continue with our Exploring Faith course, beginning at 7.45pm. Everyone is welcome to join in this course on the Christian basics.
Church Away Day
The Convent at Edgware is to be the venue for our church Away Day on Saturday June 16th. The day will begin at 9.30am, and end with lunch at 1pm. Please sign up if you would like to join in. We would also appreciate it if you could indicate if you will be driving and have seats to spare.
Jubilee Celebration
The Jubilee will soon be upon us. We will be celebrating on Sunday 3rd June with a Right Royal lunch bring’n'share lunch, with activities for the children. On Friday 1st getting down in the evening with a 50s style party at the Rectory for which we invite donations of £5 each which will be used to provide food for the bar-b-q, and please bring a bottle to drink; please sign up if you intend to come to help us know the numbers to cater for. If you are able to help with the food for the Sunday family party, please see Patricia.
Confirmation
Our confirmation classes for young people continue on Wednesdays, 3.30pm at St Mary’s Junior School.
Friends of Hornsey Church Tower
The Friends are looking for a volunteer to take Minutes at meetings. The Friends were formed over 20 years ago and have saved the Tower from collapse and as it is part of our Church, we would welcome new members, the membership fee is £5 a year.
Dates on the Horizon:
Pilgrimage to Walsingham
On Saturday 6th October we will be going on a day pilgrimage to Walsingham to which all are welcome so put the date in your diary. Also, don’t forget that our 9.30am Eucharist on the last Sunday of the month is a Walsingham mass.
Notices
If anyone has a notice for the sheet please ensure that it is emailed to Sarah and the Church Office by 12noon on the Tuesday of that week. This is so that it can be approved, typed up and the sheets run off in good time.
