HPC Productions
Our church music making also extends into dramatic productions which have been staged in the church, as an extension and an enhancement of our worship. Anyone who wants to be involved can be and usually involves both adults and children. The latest has been Jesus Christ Superstar which was our most ambitious to date.
With a cast of 50, our young leads from the wider Hornsey community and our own congregation were very enthusiastically received by the local press. The production was supported by a 10 piece band/orchestra and Musical Director.
Our three performances were sold out. All agreed that the show was intensely moving, being staged as it was in the early part of Lent.
We are lucky to have many talented individuals in our congregation, both as performers and musicians as well as back stage.
Past productions have included- Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, The Magician’s Nephew, Pilgrim’s Progress and The Secret Garden. All have explored spiritual themes; future productions will include the Mysteries. More information to follow soon…..
